today's headlines

my cousin had her baby - welcome home, macy belle!
i was told my eyes were pretty (a much welcomed compliment! i smiled all day because of it!)
as of yesterday, i'm officially relieved of my duty of iguana-sitting...we both survived the ordeal!
i made a steamer at work today
we get a long weekend
it's just hit me that this wonderful year is almost over. can you believe there's a little over 24 hours left in 2005?
i learned how to make an authentic peanut-butter smoothie
the family learned how to play jenga. i can't wait to play with them!
after many weeks of thinking and praying and after much discussion, we came up with a name for our "singing & signing" group... Praise In Motion!

Back in HS I was part of a short-lived band called Wings of Praise. It was a hecka lot of fun.

What goes in your peanut butter smoothie? I got a smoothie machine for Christmas, and I still can't get it right!

hi mike...the peanut butter smoothie! ok, the magical mix is ice (of course!), chocolate syrup (like hershey's), peanut butter, milk, and some kind of vanilla powder mix we add (thus making it "magical"! haha)

a mix i know my family loves is ice, peanut butter, milk, with a whole banana (it adds a creamy, sweet texture...very good!). we haven't tried chocolate in it, but i bet it would be good! also, another thing to try for an extra-creamy smoothie would be half-and-half...again, i haven't tried it, but after making so many at work, i really think it might be good!

let me know what works for you...and any other super secret recipes! i love to experiment!

Ah, a precious new baby in the family! Macy Bell is a pretty name.
Maegan, thanks for the sweet note you sent me today via my blog. I'm so tired of crying, but I know that weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning!!

So thankful for you, my little sister in the Lord.

My favorite would have to be a Venti Mint Choclate Chip Blended Creme Frappuccino. For some reason they always screw my order up.

As for knowing what a steamer is, it would be extraordinarily strange for a Seattlite, particularly one who doesn't like coffee, to not know what a steamer is.

I live in the homeland of Starbucks.
