well, memeow has went to be with our precious Jesus. after suffering what the doctors believed as a slight heart attack, her heart rate stayed about 40 beats - extremely low. they tried to put her on a pacemaker, but she didn't respond. we didn't want her going on life support. she went into a coma while in icu and a few hours later went to see papa hoyt.

just last night, granny duh was planning on going home and taking memeow with her this eveing - and spending the first night since everything with papa hoyt at her house. we were having a cookout with the family and she was coming. then her and granny duh were planning on going to church for easter. oh, how we never would've thought this...only a week after papa hoyt.

i'm thankful for her life and legacy she left for us. she was such a precious, yet fiery woman. you never had to guess what she was thinking - she'd flat out tell you!

well, i guess that's all. we're trying to continue on as best we can. and coming together as a family. thank you so much, my dear blogging family, for all you've been. just please keep dad in your prayers too, he hasn't had time to grieve the loss of pawpaw, his father, just yet. we're trying to rally around each other, but it's hard to know who to rally around, you know?

Most Holy Father,

I cannot begin to understand your ways... Who can? But one thing is certain... You ARE Holy and You will receive Glory. I lift Maegan's family up to you now... Shine Your face upon them and comfort them... We all pass one day, but we must also stand before You and Give an acoungt of our lives to You. May we live our lives in accordance with this. Father I lift them up to You and pray that they would rejoice in the truth of Your word. That whosoever believes in You will have eternal live. Father may they bring Glory to Your name because they see your surpassing value and rest assured that their family is in a much better place... We worship You because of Your Holiness... In Christ's name, the name above all others I pray...

Maegan: I don't know if it will be a comfort now or not, but when I read that your memeow had gone to be with her Savior this is the thought that came to mind:
"As we remember the death and resurrection of Jesus in this season, I believe there are few Christians who can even begin to feel the loss that your family has felt in the last month. My prayer is that this will help your entire family identify more closely with the death and agony of Christ as He felt the seperation, not only from his earthly loved ones, but also from His heavenly Father."

I've mentioned it before, but I truly find much comfort in Romans 8:28-29. In every battle that I must surrender to Jesus, I strive to look for the teaching of how I can more closely identify with Christ and become more like my Savior.

I'm not suggesting it's easy to look for positives when you've lost your third family member in 4 weeks, but I assure you from the bottom of my heart, if you keep your eyes on Jesus, there will be positives. You will look back on this time in your life and see tremendous growth - tremendous sanctification - tremendous love.

What a blessing God has given us in promising us that this world is "but a vapor". Following your blog has been a wonderful reminder for me that we are but pilgrims on a journey. This world is not our home. We are simply travelers looking to shine Jesus until He sees fit to take us home!!

I'm sorry, I've written a book here.

God bless you and keep you in the hollow of His hand.

I know how you all must be feeling but even at the worst of times, I can see that your family is still grateful for the many blessings that have come your way. You did not allow trials to make you forget the abundant goodness of God.

So to all of you in the family, Happy Easter!!!

Oh, my sweet friend. I am so sorry to hear the news. I am praying for you and your family. We can't understand why this all going on, so much in such little time. But God isn't surprised. And He's been in control all along. I pray that you all would "be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power" (Ephesians 6:10). I am so thankful for the strength that is available to us from above--the same strength that raised Jesus from the grave!

Thank you so much for being an encouragement to me as I'm dealing with another kind of grief. I am really glad that God is using us both to support and encourage each other. It reminds me of the verse that says we comfort others with the same comfort we have received from God.

Thank you for your sweet spirit.

I wish you a blessed Resurrection Sunday. I pray you'll feel the peace that's available to us because of Easter day!
